Susan, a disillusioned attorney living in Hawaii, purchases a crystal globe mounted on a stand resembling the claw of an Eagle after a mysterious woman at a fundraising event correctly identifies her as a Scorpio and informs her that she is an Eagle. "Scorpios who are Eagles can soar to great heights and accomplish things that others would consider miracles by sheer will power," the woman tells her. "They have within themselves the power to manifest their dreams as long as they truly believe. Dreams play a very important role in the life of an Eagle." She tells Susan to trust in her dreams. Susan takes the crystal globe and Eagle's claw mount home and places them on her bedside table. Not long afterwards, the dreams begin—dreams that eventually compel her to travel thousands of miles to Los Angeles to save the life of a rising Hollywood star, a man who, she is certain, can never be hers in this lifetime but whose soul, she knows, is connected to her own. It is a meeting that changes both of their lives forever.
This is a wonderful love story for all, but also one that reveals the dynamics of a Scorpio-Scorpio relationship. Love between two true Scorpios is always passionate, with the physical aspect transcending into a spiritual experience, but the relationship often encounters obstacles because of Scorpio’s inherent distrust, jealousy, and inability to apologize or to forgive. However, if two Scorpios are able to overcome these obstacles and rise to the level of Eagles, then, as the two Scorpios in this story discover, not even a devastating event can break their bond and miracles can indeed occur.

I must admit that when I came across this title, I was immediately intrigued.Once I got started, I wanted to know how the author would handle and explore the relationship between Susan and Johnny and how it might reflect or further my own understanding with regards to the sign of Scorpio.
I found myself experiencing myriad emotions as they embarked upon their romantic journey. I enjoyed the unique and mysterious way in which their paths initially crossed and believed in the powerful and transformative love between these two fascinating characters.
Though they had their share of conflicts and real obstacles along the way, how they dealt with and worked through their issues and moments of insecurity, jealousy, anger and fear often moved me.
There are just so many aspects at work here with regards to real love, strength, fear, growth, intimacy, communication, support, faith, sacrifice, etc. The author handles them with grace and an understanding of what human beings are truly capable of when they do things with right intention and honour the truth of their own hearts.
I feel that there is a deeper, universal wisdom flowing through this work on a number of levels and that this book is not for Scorpios alone - although, understandably, many of us will be drawn to it for our own reasons...
"Scorpio Love" had its share of humour, heartbreak and triumph and it made me want to keep reading until I knew how it all would turn out. I loved it and the whole Hawaiian connection was a bonus. I also have to say that Susan's tremendous love for her little Angel (a wee dog with many talents!) made my heart smile.
I already know I'll read it again someday and that there are definite passages I'll reread just for the pleasure and emotion of it. I hope to see more from S. Tamanaha in future!

A wonderful well written romance novel for anyone, but especially for someone who is or knows a Scorpio. The author clearly understands this sign and the two main characters and the love that they share become so real and believable as you read their story.
Of your a scorpio you will appreciate this book. I couldn't put it down until I was finish with it.
I started to read this book because I am a scorpio woman and I am currently dating a scorpio man and I was kind of curious as to whether or not it would be accurate or a load of zodiac references with a horrible plotline. This book grabbed my heart during the first chapter and held it all the way through the end. The accuracy with which it describes a scorpio-scorpio relationship is shocking, and the depth of Susan and Johnny's love is inspiring. Scorpio Love is well written and breathtaking.
Towards the very end, it's drawn out and you're rolling your eyes. However, the story pulls you in after a couple chapters. I love the dramatic scenes when the couple accuses one another of being disloyal. I wish it dealt more with that aspect of how Scorpios handle feeling betrayed and how they response to paranoia, but this was eye opening enough...if you at least find astrology humorous.
This book is a pure page turner and gives deep insights to how the Scorpio mind works. The Scorpio in love is the stuff true romances are made of. It successfully documents a pure and all consuming love, when 2 people care about each other as friends and lovers and equal partners. Scorpio Love even helped me understand how to handle some conflicts which might occur with a true Scorpio. By the way the main character Susan is portrayed, it is easy to imagine yourself in her shoes, and through her actions, it is as if you are rolling with the story yourself, falling in love with the same guy. A sweet story that won't disappoint. I'll tell you, I could not put it down.
